A member of Hizbullah's Political Council expressed his certainty that the electoral law would be issued on September 25, 2005.
"Some people talk in the parliament, but outside [parliament] it remains nothing but talk," Ghaleb Abu Zeinab told NBN television on Wednesday.
"Some in the March 14 alliance are trying in various ways to obstruct the electoral law," he added, pointing out that the election battle had begun along with the purchase of citizens' votes.
The Hizbullah official said data indicated the 2009 elections would be in favor of the current opposition, which would then become a parliamentary majority, but underlined that no alliance would have two-thirds of the seats in parliament.
On the Maronite Patriarch's opinion toward the appointment of an army commander, Abu Zeinab replied, "It is clear that Bkirki intervenes in the details of political life, and whether that is right or not is a different issue."
