Iranian FM Arrives in Moscow

TEHRAN--Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki arrived in the Russian capital Friday at the head of a diplomatic delegation for a one-day visit to meet his Russian counterpart for talks.
Iran's Embassy in Moscow said Mottaki is scheduled to meet and hold talks with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov on bilateral issues and key regional and international events.
Mottaki is also expected to discuss with Russians ways of implementing the agreements reached between Iranian and Russian presidents on the sidelines of recent Shanghai Cooperation Organization session in Tajikistan.
Russia, a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, has played a prominent role in negotiations with Tehran over its nuclear program.
Iran and Russia have in recent years had growing relations and tight economic, energy and political cooperation.
