Iran’s Chief of Staff Warns against Inaction on Trump’s ‘Deal of Century’

Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Hossein Baqeri condemned US President Donald Trump’s “Deal of Century” plan and cautioned the Muslim countries against the consequences of their silence on “the great conspiracy” against Palestinians.
“The unveiling of the Zionist-American plan known as the Deal of the Century is undoubtedly a historical and strategic mistake that follows the occupation of Palestine as a key part of the Zionist project that has failed over the past 70 years in the region,” Major General Baqeri said in separate messages to the heads of armies and defense ministers in the Islamic countries.
He further emphasized that giving the holy Quds and most parts of the West Bank to the Zionist regime is tantamount to “tearing the Palestinian land apart and preventing the refugees from returning to their homeland”.
The top commander further deplored the provisions of the deal of the century as contrary to the international regulations and the UN Charter.
“Any implicit agreement, silence, negligence, or double-dealing with this cruel plan, which is a violation of sovereignty and declaration of war on the territorial identity and existence of an oppressed nation, can extend this great conspiracy beyond Palestine and [endanger] the independence and sovereignty of other Islamic countries,” Baqeri stated.
On Tuesday night, US President Donald Trump unveiled his long-delayed Middle East plan, a proposal Palestinian leaders called a "conspiracy" that "will not pass".
Following Trump's announcement, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas said "a thousand no's" to the plan.
The American plan has sparked widespread international condemnation.
The deal of century ploy, fronted by US President Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner, has already been rejected by the Palestinians, who say the White House's policies have been blatantly biased in favor of ‘Israel.’
