The Zionist entity’s General Attorney Avichai Mandelblit handed Tuesday to the High Court of Justice his legal opinion on the Likud-Blue and White coalition agreement, stating it, or any of its clauses, should not be disqualified.

The number of incidents in which the “revered court” has intervened in coalition deals in the past is rare and uncommon, Mandelblit wrote.

The attorney general’s response follows a revision made by the Likud and Blue and White parties to the coalition agreement that was issued earlier today to the Supreme Court.

The new amendments state that the emergency government duration will be limited to six months, with no extensions; that a freeze on parliament proposing bills is scrapped; and that a freeze on appointing top government officials will be shortened to 100 days.

On Sunday, the Zionist entity’s High Court launched a two-day hearings on petitions filed against the coalition deal and incumbent Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s right to serve as premier due to his indictments, over which he denies any wrongdoing.

The panel of 11 judges signaled it won’t accept the petitions, but suggested some changes to the coalition agreement should be made.
