Khalil says condemnation is no longer enough for Gaza
Source: nowlebanon.com, 28-12-2008
Liberation and Development bloc MP Ali Hassan Khalil said that "condemnations are not enough anymore" to soothe the situation in Gaza.
While visiting the Greek Orthodox Archbishop in Achrafieh to extend the Amal Movement's congratulations regarding the holiday season, he said, "The people and leadership of Arab countries should take a real stance and stand beside these beaten people."
Responding to a question concerning the possible effect of the violence in Gaza on Lebanon, Khalil said, "Lebanon is part of this region and the repercussions of the Gaza crisis will impose itself on the Lebanese reality."
However, he stressed that "Lebanon is fortified against such challenges. Solidarity and unity are required. And this issue should be a priority for all the Lebanese leaders."
