Moussawi: We have to rely on ourselves

Hizbullah International Relations Officer Nawwaf Moussawi told Al-Manar television on Tuesday that the Egyptian regime could easily open Rafah border crossing for, at least, humanitarian reasons.
"We learned from our previous experiences that we cannot rely on anyone except ourselves," he added.

He said that the Palestinian people were now free to adopt any means to defend themselves.

He also said that ‘Israel' attempted to destroy the resistance [Hamas] and that all other justifications presented by ‘Israeli' leaders had no importance.

He noted that the timing of the ‘Israeli' operation on Gaza was before the elections, but, he added that the electoral competition in ‘Israel' led to starting the attack early. He said that ‘Israel's' objectives were not only electoral.
