Berri calls for regional political unity to face Gaza crisis

Speaker Nabih Berri on Friday called for political unity in the region to face the Gaza crisis, which he said was part of "the "Israeli" project" which the Lebanese people's unity and solidarity had sabotaged during the July War of 2006.
During a meeting with the municipalities' council of Zahrani at his mansion in Msayleh, Berri underlined the importance of holding the parliamentary elections on time and confirmed that his Amal Movement would outline a clear political program based on justice, the state and partnership.
He also stated that political money was used in certain Lebanese areas and in South Lebanon, adding that no money would affect the patriotism of the people because they had voted long time ago for national unity, coexistence and the Resistance.
He also called for compensation for those who were affected during the July War to grant them their rights and end "this dossier once and for all."
