Suleiman: Defense strategy that would ensure Lebanon΄s strength would take time

President Michel Suleiman said, during meeting with the Lebanese community in Kuwait on Tuesday night, that the national dialogue should not be rushed, as formulating defense strategy that would ensure Lebanon's strength-- through its emigrants, army, Resistance and economy-- would take time. He added that many common interests had emerged during the previous two sessions of the dialogue.

Suleiman called for enhancing the reconciliation among Arabs that began in Kuwait, and he said he was relieved by Lebanon's unified stance during the Gaza crisis, which, he said, had prevented Lebanon from enduring any negative repercussions from the crisis.

"A country that resisted and defeated ‘Israel' and torpedoed terrorism can build a state where all people reach agreement," he asserted.
President Suleiman returned from Kuwait on Wednesday.
