Tehran - Iran's Expediency Council chief Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani said the victory of the Palestinian nation in Gaza is a reality which could not be ignored in any way.
Addressing a gathering to celebrate "the Epic of Gaza", he said the western media and propaganda machine would never succeed in its attempt to cover up people's resistance during 22 days of Zionist attacks on Gaza.
He strongly condemned the brutal attacks of Zionists on the territory and its use of non-conventional weapons and said the scale of the attacks, especially the use of phosphorous bombs, during the recent assaults proved that the attacks took place with the prior green light of the US administration and certain European countries.
He hoped after the two victories the Muslim nations gained in Lebanon and Gaza, the third resistance war would lead to the liberation of al-Quds.
Outlining the history of Palestinian nation's resistance, Rafsanjani said the spirit of resistance prevailing in the Gaza for decades was rooted in the deep religious beliefs of its people.
Turning to the support of Iranian nation for Gaza's people during the recent war, he said the fact that the Zionist regime barred Iran's aid supplies to the Gazans showed the significance of such moves.
He said no one in the world would ever criticize a nation for fighting for liberation and freedom and believed the world now admitted that the real terrorists were the ones who occupied a nation's lands through brutal use of force not the people who have taken up arms to defend their existence and identity.
