Yakan: Opposition Sunnis must be represented in national dialogue
Source: nowlebanon.com, 28-01-2009
Fathi Yakan, who leads the Islamic Labor Front, said that neglecting any element of Lebanese society "deprives the national dialogue of balance and comprehensibility."
"The Sunnis in the opposition have much more influence today than the majority's Sunnis and especially after the victory in Gaza ... the results of the upcoming elections will prove this is true," he said, adding that "the leaders of the [opposition] Sunnis, deserve more than some other leaders, to participate in discussing the defense strategy because they are an essential part of the Resistance project."
