Loyalty to Resistance: Canceling South Council cannot be taken before making a comprehensive plan for all other councils

After the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc meeting on Wednesday presided over by bloc leader MP Mohammad Raad, a statement was issued and read, "The importance of the national dialogue lied in the positive atmosphere it carried into the defense strategy discussions." It added that some attempted, whether intentionally or not, to give a bad impression to the public on the measures taken regarding this matter.

The bloc said it "does not accept any excuse to cancel the budget of the South Council, as long as it is still working officially, and as long as all those affected by the 2006 July War did not yet receive their compensations."

The bloc added, "This decision cannot be taken before a comprehensive and balanced plan was made on the work of all existing councils and funds."

It said the continuous siege on the Gaza Strip did not serve the peace process in the region. The bloc concluded the three Arab summits over Gaza within one week and the different positions and recommendations issued afterward only proved the need to reduce divisions among Arabs.
