A member of Hizbullah's political bureau, Ghaleb Abu Zeinab, Wednesday said he feared there were people in Lebanon who were "using provocative sectarian language."

"Are we going to hear this kind of language, which could escalate tension and push things out of control, until the elections? And is provoking sectarian sentiments the proper way to win votes?" Abu Zeinab asked at the opening of a book exhibition in Saida.

"If politicians are not aware of the consequences of using such language, we are counting on the public awareness," he said.
