During a religious ceremony on Tuesday, Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Ali Ammar said Hizbullah would conduct its electoral battle seat by seat until it achieved a majority, which would guarantee Lebanon's social and economic peace.

Ammar defended Free Patriotic Movement leader MP Michel Aoun and said, "Our battle is that of General Aoun against whom wars were launched, from all directions, merely because he was committed to the national unifying choice and consensus."

He said the majority had been employed to execute the Resistance by utilizing the huge facilities supplied by the United Nations, the UN Security Council and "media empires." "But Hizbullah would not allow this to pass," he added.

Ammar also noted that Hizbullah had its remarks on the High Relief Committee and the Development and Construction Council's performances, just as others had their reservations on the Council for South's work.

Ammar said that some Gulf States were financially supporting some parties, who wanted to retrieve "their lost feudal glory in Lebanon."
