Hizbullah Deputy Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem called on Wednesday those who wanted to succeed in the forthcoming parliamentary elections to pursue the policy of bestowal and development, prevent corruption and resort to virtuous electoral rivalry. His eminence called on everyone not to create sedition and stimulate the instincts in a deformed way as a means to influence the outcome of the elections.

Speaking at the Iranian Cultural Center in a ceremony to commemorate the thirtieth anniversary of the Islamic Revolution victory, Sheikh Qassem refused that any party wins the elections through incitement and provocation. His eminence, meanwhile, insisted that the election should be held on time.

"We will work so that the Lebanese will vote for independence, creation of a strong and stable state and for the confrontation of corruption, far from dependency," Sheikh Qassem said. His eminence added that the Resistance party would work to prevent the US and "Israel"i control of Lebanon.

"We don't want an independence awarded by the UN, we want an independence safeguarded by the Lebanese nation so that it remains free from any price that could spent at any place in this world."

Sheikh Qassem also reiterated that "the Resistance will always be strong and ready to sacrifice."
