The Lebanese Army Command said that the published photos of the rockets found Wednesday in South Lebanon were inaccurate.

Army Commander General Jean Kahwaji issued a press release on Thursday clarifying that the newspapers published photos in their Thursday editions showing the rockets as if they were ready to be launched into "Israel". "Those weapons were old and were not ready to be fired, which indicates that the published photos [were of another set of rockets] found at another place at another time," the statement read.

The Army Command called for precision and objectivity in publishing news and photos, since this would sway the public opinion. It also assured that it was the only reference for all military and security issues, as well as the Lebanese people's safety.
