Hajj Hassan: Elections should not be a phase of sedition because some fear the result
07-02-2009
Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Hussein Hajj Hassan said the upcoming parliamentary elections should not be a phase of tensions and seditions simply because some parties feared to lose the elections.
In a celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, he added that the majority raised the issue of wiretapping against Telecommunications Minister Gebran Bassil to affect his popularity and the Free Patriotic Movement's political weight, in order to provide excuses for not implementing the law.
He called for complementing the atmosphere of calm and reconciliation, and praised Youth and Sports Minister Talal Areslan's efforts in forging reconciliation in the Mountain. He also called for running the elections securely and democratically.
