Hizbullah Shura member Sheikh Mohammed Yazbek, praised the national role of the Lebanese Army and its cohesion with the resistance and the people in its defense of the homeland, to protect it against all the treats, and called for dealing with the elections responsibly and in a nationalistic spirit.

At an ideological seminar held in the cultural Chancellery of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic in Lebanon, Sheikh Yazbek saw that Wilayat al-Faqih (the Guardianship of the Jurist) has become a subject of attack by inferior personalities from certain political and intellectual sides, hired writers who consider this guardianship their enemy.

They are those who live under the American wing and dare not admit that they think Islam is 'backward' or that it takes them back to 'the middle ages.'

Sheikh Yazbek added: "they demand the name of the Islamic Republic to be changed to one of a democracy! "What democracy are they talking about? What is the concept of democracy in some countries?

With that in the Wilayat al-Faqih there is a high lofty law, hardly ever matched in terms of the conditions it observes ethically, scientifically and security wise."

His eminence continued saying: since Imam Khomeini's embarking on preparations for the Islamic Revolution, he worked on pairing it with the Palestinian issue and, therefore, called for al-Quds (Jerusalem) Day and the establishment of the 20-million-Army.
