On Friday Labor Minister Mohammad Fneish told Kuwaiti newspaper Awan, to be released on Saturday, that communication between Hizbullah and the Future Movement "is at the highest levels" and noted the continuous contacts being made between Hizbullah and the Progressive Socialist Party.

Fneish added that a meeting between Hizbullah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and PSP leader MP Walid Jumblatt was not on the agenda at the moment, but he praised Jumblatt's speeches in these "critical times."

"No one can use Hizbullah as a card for any settlement, compromise or negotiations," Fneish said.
He said that controversial issues could not be resolved without leaders giving appeasing and rational political speeches, and that they should avoid provocations and incitements.

Fneish added the security services and judicial institutions had the sole authority to deal with any incident and called on them to carry out their duties responsibly. He asked all political parties not to cover those who breach security or commit any illegal activities.

Fneish noted that no one in Lebanon had any interest in destabilizing the domestic situation, adding that the relations between different parties were being rebuilt through a "purification process by using communications channels, which help set agendas to deal with the aftermath of recent events."

On the Syrian-Saudi rapprochement, Fneish said, "Hizbullah looks positively at any improvement of the relations among Arabs" and called for solving all disagreements, "which will benefit all the Arabs, as well as Lebanon."
