Fneish Renews Commitment to Hold Elections on Schedule
Labor Minister Mohammad Fneish renewed on Sunday Hizbullah's commitment to holding the elections on schedule, calling for securing the appropriate atmosphere that would enable Lebanese to express themselves freely.
Speaking during a political meeting for Hizbullah supporters in the southern village of Jwayya on Sunday, Fneish said that his party was ready to secure the required calm atmosphere that would enable the Lebanese to practice their electoral rights away from any kind of pressures or disputes.
The Hizbuyllah minister said that other parties have showed a similar commitment in this regard. "No one can benefit from obstructing the elections because in doing so we are eliminating legal institutions, and this can push Lebanon into instability and threatens civil peace," he warned.
Fneish said that even international and regional political players had no interest in destabilizing Lebanon.
