Raad: Lebanon can only be governed by accord & understanding
A large crowd of the people of the southern J'baa town, in al-Tuffah Province, in the presence of personalities and dignitaries, commemorated the 7th-Day after the passing away of the highly regarded educator Zahra Nour Eddine and the late Hosni Hirshi in the town's Husseiniyah Hall.
The head of the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Haj Mohammad Raad gave a speech in which he said that the current inter-Arab reconciliation taking place has positive repercussions on the Lebanese and Palestinian situations.
During his speech he addressed the electoral situation, in which MP Raad stressed on accord among the parties before and after the elections, because the country's interests require it, saying Lebanon is based on consensus and co-existence. He called on the people waiting for the parliamentary elections to use it as a crossing point to a new period of accord and harmony, to overcome all obstacles and problems, and attempt to dissolve all the arisen differences and disputes.
Raad added, "Faced with external threats and the problems endured by the country, this election must be turned to an opportunity for bringing the Lebanese ranks closely together, to consolidate national will, rather than to an occasion for further divisions, differences, disputes and political conflict, sectarian and area wrangling, which do not build the homeland but instead serve the usurper Zionist entity, the enemy of the Lebanese and the ill-plans it is sowing for us."
