Hizbullah's official in the Bekaa area Mohammad Yaghi asserted that, "We are faced with a new challenge...the upcoming parliamentary elections," adding that it is "an important moment in the history of political work."

During a commemorative ceremony by Hizbullah in "Al-Shuhadaa Complex" in Hermel (Bekaa), Yaghi considered there to be "two projects in Lebanon: a patriotic project aimed at unifying Lebanon based on consensus and partnership, and a project that wants to make Lebanon part of the project of the American administration and all its allies and tools in the region."
