The "Loyalty to the Resistance" bloc member, MP Nawwar al-Sahili, confirmed the opposition's participation in governing, should it lose the elections, as a legitimate right, pointing out that "the quadripartite alliance proved its failure and the coming battle is between opposition and pro-government forces." In an interview with "NBN" television he denied any disagreement between the opposition forces over election lists.

He warned against the use of political money and attempts to purchase the minds and conscience of the constituents, saying "the citizens who believe in the resistance path will not abandon it in return for a handful of money."

He talked about surprises after the elections, saying "delays in passing a law that reduces the voting age to 18 years is useless, because 3 years from now, those who are 18 will reach their legal voting age anyway."

He criticized the release of "campaigns" and "insults" as soon as any political dispute arises, because "to differ is part of the democratic process which can only be resolved through dialogue, understanding and agreement on specific positions." He called for "the need to focus on the citizens' living conditions and public debt, because people are suffering from the followed policies, they are no longer able to bear the poverty, the high cost of living and fuel cost."

MP al-Sahili praised the role former Prime Minister Rafik al-Hariri played in supporting the resistance after he became satisfied with its patriotic project aimed at liberating the land.
On the subject of the International Tribunal, al-Sahili noted that "no one is against discovering the truth of who killed Hariri, so long as judicial conditions are observed, because we refuse its politicization or dragging it into political wrangling, stressing that the four officers are political prisoners and not under arrest, until a ruling is made against them."
