The President of Hizbullah Political Council, Sayyed Ibrahim Amin al-Sayyed stressed that "the concept of resistance has defeated the concept of occupation, adding that the resistance forces defeated the forces of infidelity in both the summer of 2006 and the Gaza wars," adding that "some countries are using al-Quds (Jerusalem) as a bargaining chip for their own interests."

Al-Sayyed's words came during a speech he gave at a conference on "Palestine the symbol of resistance - Gaza victim of crime"

During his speech he illustrated how the approach of faith and struggle will triumph in accordance with the divine promise, and that our resolve will destroy the demonic enemies.

He expressed his appreciation and thanks to the Islamic Republic of Iran for its broad support of the resistance in Palestine and Lebanon, saying: that "our leadership defeated the enemy's; the concept of resistance defeated the notion of occupation, just as the resistance forces defeated the forces of infidelity."

He stressed that "war with the Zionist entity is a war of faith with infidelity, explaining that the idea of a settlement has not as yet liberated a single inch of occupied territories, the policy of submission pursued by some has not been able to free the Palestinian prisoners for many long years nor will it be able to do that in the future either."

Al-Sayyed emphasized that "some strive for negotiation but we strive for resistance. Some countries had colluded with the enemy during the Gaza war, which lasted 22 days and ended with the enemy's nose in the mud."
