Fneish in response to Britain΄s decision to resume contacts with Hizbullah: Our policy is openness
Source: Hizbollah Staff, 06-03-2009
In exclusive statements made to the BBC TV's Arabic section, the Labor Minister Mohammed Fneish welcomed Britain's decision to resume contacts with Hizbullah.
Asked whether Hizbullah will respond to the British decision of the resumption of contacts, Minister Mohammad Fneish said: "I do not think that in principle Hizbullah does not object the start and resumption of contacts, but there are organizational mechanisms for such contacts. We have an international relations official and communications can be done through the Department of International Relations in the party. I believe that this matter is available."
Fneish said that "any country's position, which commits it to the prevention of contact with Hizbullah, does not harm Hizbullah to the extent that it harms the rank of that State because of the strength Hizbullah's presence represents at the political and grass-root levels."
He emphasized that "Hizbullah's policy is to be open and therefore, our dialogue and communication channels and willingness are open to any country"
