Sheikh Qaouk: Lebanon is governed by consensus & partnership regardless of the winner in the elections
Source: Hizbollah Staff, 07-03-2009
Hizbullah official in South Lebanon, Sheikh Nabil Qaouk confirmed that "the resistance in Lebanon is not afraid of regional and international developments nor is it waiting for the due parliamentary elections, for it falls outside these internal and external influences."
He said, "We will not wait for dictations and interventions from overseas or from within the desert. Our decisions stem from our patriotism. We are advocates of reconciliation and national partnership with which we protect the identity of Lebanon and its stability."
Sheikh Qaouk felt that the pro-government forces' project in the country attempts to put the Lebanese in front of two options: either dominance or obstruction, in contrast, the options the Lebanese opposition present are either accord or accord."
He added: "Regardless of the winner of the parliamentary elections, Lebanon is governed by national accord and partnership, which is the only way out of the existing political crisis.
Any other view of obstruction, disruption, monopolization or domination no longer has the opportunity to manifest, for we have turned the chapter of American tutelage and its related embassies and with it gone the chapter of hegemony, exclusivity and monopolization of the power."
