Sheikh Izzeddine: Opposition with Parliamentary Majority will Stay Open to Partnership with Others
Source: Hizbollah Staff, 12-03-2009
The Arab Relations Official in Hizbullah, Sheikh Hassan Izzeddine confirmed that "should the opposition win parliamentary majority, it will keep the door to partnership in governance open to others" adding: "Should the others refuse that partnership, we will not turn away the reigns of governance to form a national government of a patriotic choice that does not exclude anyone."
He added: "This is because we do not exercise governance based on the mentality of exclusivity or the cancellation of others. Thus we can offer a new experience to this country, which has suffered corruption, and has had its institutions dominated by deals and suspicions."
Izzeddine asserted that "the opposition will go through the electoral process with common lists of candidates that reflect the political direction and project for managing the country." He also pointed out that "the opposition is closer to producing the lists agreed upon, pertaining to all the constituencies."
