Wahhab warns opposition ministers against approving Special Tribunal MoU

Former Minister Wiam Wahhab warned opposition ministers against approving the memorandum of understanding between the Special Tribunal and the Lebanese government, saying it would lead to a civil war in the country "because it is dangerous."

After meeting with former President Emile Lahoud on Thursday, Wahhab also said every Arab rapprochement was positive, in reference to the Riyadh mini-summit on Wednesday.

Wahhab said the opposition would decide whether he would run in the upcoming parliamentary elections. "We are committed to the opposition's decision, and we will deal with the matter with a unified plan set by the opposition that decides on the candidacy," he said.
