Qaouk: The opposition is bound to the loyalty project and rejecting monopoly of the authority
16-03-2009
Hizbullah's official in South Lebanon sheikh Nabil Qaouk in Bint Jubeil received a delegation from the Civil Resistance Society Movement of Mount Lebanon.
Qaouk stressed that the resistance is "bound to the national consensus project and not to monopoly of authority"
"The opposition's project is that of partnership, not corporation," Qaouk said. "It's natural that the ‘other' party is disturbed in the national unity government since they are not accustomed to sharing power and decision-making with anyone," he affirmed.
"We don't wonder if the loyalty party feels distressed and embarrassed in the presence of a vetoing bloc within the government since the former has a tendency for single-command and preponderance whereas the vetoing third hinders such hegemony and monopoly," he added.
Qaouk wondered how a country could be built "if there remains those who reject consensus, and open the doors wide to American and non-American guardianship" which he assured "is over".
Qaouk emphasized that the resistance has been stronger than all hegemony and domination of ‘Israel'".
"This is where the scene of victory occurred, that which unified the country and became a victory for all of Lebanon, a true independence which we pride and honor....How can we forget the stand of mount Lebanon, the stand of honor and embrace of the resistance society....at the time when the attitude was holding arms against the enemy."
Qaouk saluted the mountaineers in general and the family of slain martyr Saleh Aridi in particular.
