Hizbullah Official in South Lebanon, Sheikh Nabil Qaouk emphasized that "messages of neutralizing Lebanon in relation to the conflict with the Zionist enemy, coinciding with the formation of Netanyahu's Government in ‘Israel', constitutes an insult to Lebanon and gives a wrong message to the enemy.
He stressed that "Lebanon is not the country to give reassuring messages to ‘Israel' or to adopt such a strategy, adding "The resistance puts forward the strategy it has tried and won."
Sheikh Qaouk considered "national responsibility at this time is to work on having calm elections, because our project as opposition is one of national accord and partnership," warning that "some, from the other side, are working on a strategy of keeping Lebanon within the circle of tension and fragmentation for electoral reasons." He affirmed that "Continued U.S. interventions constitute an obstacle to all climates of accord and consensus."
