Raad: If we win the elections, our hand will still be extended for national partnership government

Head of Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Mohammad Raad, confirmed in a political meeting in Imam Khomeini Cultural Centre in Tyre that "we need to reconsider the election law and the sectarian structure of the country's political system."

Raad added: "We want the due elections to be an opportunity for our people to prove and consolidate their commitment to the resistance option and confirm adherence to national accord and to building a strong and capable state, a state that is fair based on understanding with all and each of the components of Lebanon's society."

He said: "If we win in the elections, our hands will continue to be extended, to whoever looses, for partnership in a national Government regardless of their current position, even they are now threatening to extend their hand for partnership on the basis of attachment to the program they pursue, should they win the elections."

In conclusion, MP Raad said "As long as the elections are taking place in the midst of international and regional changes, we will have to render this coming election successful through calm discourse and earnest expression of our people's commitments."
