Fadlallah: there is a genuine opportunity to implement the election-related appointments

Member of Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Hassan Fadlallah, during a public political meeting in Bazouriyeh village stressed "there is a genuine opportunity for accomplishing the election-related administrative appointments, or some of the other sensitive appointments, and that we have entered a stage of shortlisting names."

He added: "We on our part have expressed openness to overcome obstacles in order to expedite the filling of vacancies, names to be selected based consensus, for inclusion on the Cabinet's table to facilitate the proper conduct of the elections."

MP Fadlallah pointed out that "We want to go through the elections calmly according to democratic competition, under orderly work of public institutions. The dismantling of many obstacles including the budget, have entered a path of resolution, which adds to ease of tensions; the only thing remaining is an agreement on the government's share of the Constitutional Council."

He also added: "We are ready to agree on the appointment of five members, correcting the current imbalance caused by a repudiation of the prior agreement that had been reached in parliament before."
