Labor Minister Mohammed Fneish confirmed during a political election gathering of the Islamic Assembly of Engineers in ‘Farah' Fun Park, Tyre- that "In the due elections, we want to transform this occasion to move the country from the earlier stage of negatively charged atmospheres, division and hatred into a new phase of prevalent atmospheres of reconciliation, partnership and accord."

He praised the stands President Sulaiman made saying "We have heard commendable stands made by him concerning his approach to the coming elections and his demand for making the elections a start of the phase during which the reform process is launched, according to the Taif Agreement."

He said "Inter-Arab reconciliations will not disrupt competition nor will they substitute Lebanese people's will, but there will competition among political forces in a way that will prove true representational sizes and positions within the equation of power.

In conclusion, Minister Fneish said "Our role has been, still is and will continue to be at the forefront of forces that want to achieve reform and development for this country, since those who have not shied away from sacrificing their blood would not refrain from sacrificing a post or a stand for this country, because we only intend to enter public affairs in consistency with our people's hopes, to assume our legitimate and humanitarian responsibility in order to keep this country invulnerable, free and proud."
