Yemen Imposes Naval Blockade on Haifa Port after Aerial One on “Ben Gurion”

By Staff, Agencies
The Yemeni army announced that it has imposed a naval blockade on the “Israeli”-occupied Haifa port in response to the entity’s escalation of genocidal crimes in Gaza.
The Yemeni Armed Forces said in a statement on Monday that the decision is in response to “Israel’s” continued siege of Gaza, the starvation of the Palestinian people and the entity’s refusal to halt its aggression.
“The Yemeni Armed Forces, relying on Allah and trusting in Allah, have decided, with Allah's help, to implement the leadership's directives to begin working to enforce a naval blockade of the port of Haifa,” the statement said.
It further mentioned: “Accordingly, all companies with ships present in or heading to this port are hereby notified that, as of the time of this announcement, the aforementioned port has been included in the target bank.”
“They are urged to take into consideration the contents of this statement and any subsequent announcements.”
The military noted that Yemeni forces have already succeeded in imposing a blockade on the port of Umm al-Rashrash, also known as “Eilat”, and bringing it to a standstill.
The statement said the Yemeni forces will not hesitate to take additional measures in support of the oppressed Palestinian people and their resistance.
The Yemeni military stressed that Yemen’s anti- “Israel” measures will come to an end once the aggression on Gaza ends and the blockade is lifted.
“All measures and decisions of the armed forces related to the ‘Israeli’ enemy, including support operations and the ban on air and sea navigation, will cease once the aggression on Gaza ends and the blockade is lifted,” it said.
Earlier, a senior Yemeni official warned international commercial airlines against resuming flights to “Ben Gurion” International Airport in the “Israeli”-occupied territories as the retaliatory operations by the Arab country continue.
The unnamed source told Lebanon's Arabic-language Al-Mayadeen news network that companies which provide air transport services and are seeking to restore routes to the “Israeli” airport should “change their destinations and pay close attention to the warnings from the Yemeni army.”
The source emphasized that the Yemeni military remains committed to enforcing an aerial blockade on “Israeli”-occupied lands, and not merely targeting "Ben Gurion" airport.
He also underscored that the Yemeni Armed Forces and the nation “are not deterred by psychological warfare or threats,” reaffirming their resolve in the face of attempts to pressure or dissuade their campaign.
The remarks came a day after Yemeni Deputy Minister of Information Nasruddin Amer warned that his country’s armed forces will carry out military strikes targeting the “Ben Gurion” Airport and other airports across the “Israeli”-occupied territories in the coming hours.
