Euro-Med Monitor: 26 Die of Starvation in Gaza as “Israel” Intensifies Siege

At least 26 Palestinians, including 9 children, have died from starvation and lack of medical care in Gaza within the past 24 hours, according to the Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor.

The Geneva-based group says these preventable deaths result from conditions deliberately imposed by the “Israeli” entity, which include enforced famine, denial of medical access, and a crushing blockade.

The organization reports a sharp increase in deaths among children, the sick, and the elderly, many of whom were recently displaced by bombardment and are facing acute hunger.

Euro-Med noted that Gaza’s Ministry of Health lacks the capacity to accurately monitor or classify these deaths, leading to many being mistakenly attributed to natural causes.

Field teams documented harrowing testimonies from displaced elderly Palestinians suffering from hunger and exhaustion. The group also warned that relentless “Israeli” strikes are worsening the humanitarian catastrophe by forcing people to abandon even minimal food supplies.

Describing the situation as “catastrophic,” Euro-Med urged all nations to uphold their legal responsibilities and take immediate action to stop the ongoing genocide in Gaza. The organization called for economic, diplomatic, and military sanctions against “Israel” over its grave violations of international law.

The renewed “Israeli” bombardment began on March 18, following the collapse of a two-month ceasefire and a prisoner exchange deal with Hamas. Since October 7, 2023, at least 53,573 Palestinians—mostly women and children—have been martyred and over 121,688 wounded.

The International Criminal Court has issued arrest warrants for “Israeli” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former War Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity. “Israel” is also facing genocide charges at the International Court of Justice.
