Source: Nowlebanon.com, 25-3-2009
Lebanese Popular Movement leader MP Mustafa Ali Hussein announced that he would run for the Alawite seat in the Akkar district during the forthcoming parliamentary elections to be held on June 7.
In a statement on Wednesday, Hussein said that "on June 7 he will face a great challenge, the elections, which are being held amid the most fragile conditions in the modern history of Lebanon."
The elections would decide the "size of the political forces' blocs that will direct the political play on the domestic stage during the next phase," Hussein added.
