Tashnag Declares End of Talks with Hariri, Gemayel

The Armenian party Tashnag has put an end to all rumors about its electoral alliances.

Indeed, the Tashnag, deemed as the "winning card" in the upcoming elections, has studied all its options. The Lebanese daily Al-Akhbar reported on Thursday that the party's Secretary General Hovik Makhtarian and MP Hagop Paqradounian had held a meeting on Sunday with the head of the Change and Reform parliamentary bloc MP Michel Aoun and informed him of their "final word."

According to the daily, the Tashnag's decision was to suspend all forms of negotiations with the March 14 bloc, namely the head of the Phalange party, former President Amin Gemayel, and the head of the Future movement MP Saad Hariri. The alliance with General Aoun comes in the first place, the Tashnag party stressed.
