Raad: Resistance preserves region΄s stability ~ Now, enemy is incapable of assaulting Lebanon

Head of the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Mohammad Raad said "the resistance brings back balance to the region and prevents the enemy from indulging in imposing conditions. Let no one deceive themselves that the alternative to resistance is achieving peace through diplomacy; because it is through the continuation of the resistance that the region and its stability are preserved.

During a ceremony to mark 7-Days on passing away of the martyr Mohammad Ollaiq in Yohmor village, Raad said that "The enemy is now unable to make any aggression on Lebanon without incurring the high costs of that aggression; this forces the enemy to distance themselves from the maze of engagement. Intimidation and beating the drums of war do not frighten us for we are in a position of strength."

"In July war, all the stakes wagered by the United States and Europe were on 'Israel's' victory, to defeat and crush resistance and their arms, and open up the gates to the ‘New Middle East'. All their hopes were dashed by the resistance's victory and as a result they started reviewing their policies and calculations."

With regards to the domestic situation, the head of the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc added "What we have, we have presented above the table, we want national partnership, consensual democracy, preservation of co-existence, national covenant and civil peace, we do not want any amendments in the Taif Accord, but we want its implementation, starting from the first item therein to the last item."
