Loyalty to the Resistance bloc leader MP Mohammad Raad that the opposition would treat the causes for the economic crisis, which he said was occurring because of the majority ruling the country. "Thus we are sure that the catastrophe will double if the majority wins again in the parliamentary elections," he said.

During a political meeting organized by Hizbullah in the southern village of Qsaibeh, Raad said that some threatened that if the opposition won in the elections Lebanon would head into an economic catastrophe. "We say the catastrophe is present amid this power," he said.

Raad said it was probable that those talking about "fateful" parliamentary elections were afraid for their personal interests and investments. He said Hizbullah was conducting the elections as an important stage in developing the domestic and national situation, adding that the elections were not "the end of struggles."

Raad said the opposition would win a majority in the upcoming parliamentary elections. "We should increase voting for us to send a strong message that our people will not retract from their choice of resistance," he said.

Raad said that the change sought by US President Barack Obama in this period was a change in the approach of containing resistance movements and in the way of dealing with states that oppose the US project in the region. "The objective is invariable: protecting the Zionist entity and ensuring the flow of Arab oil with the lowest prices for the American and European interests."
