Wahhab: Electoral battle will occur mainly in Christian regions

Tawhid party leader Wiam Wahhab said, during lecture on Friday in the southern area of Adloun, that the electoral battle would mainly take place in Christian regions, especially after the "savage campaign" against Change and Reform bloc leader MP Michel Aoun.
He said that all statistics suggested a victory for the opposition during the upcoming parliamentary elections.

Wahhab noted that the situation in some districts might not allow some of the opposition's members to announce their candidacy for the elections. He confirmed that if the opposition achieves a parliamentary majority, it would ensure that all parties in the opposition participate even if they were not all represented.

He added that the Lebanese people realized after four years that slogans launched by the March 14 alliance, mentioning Lebanon's sovereignty and independence, were all false.

He also said that the choice of the Resistance had achieved victory, especially after the 2006 July War and Gaza war. He noted that some Arab states, which conspired with Israel against the Resistance in Lebanon and Gaza, were now moving toward the axis of resistance after it became known that defeating the Resistance's project was impossible.
