"Israeli" occupation forces killed a Palestinian man after he drove his bulldozer into a checkpoint in occupied Jerusalem on Tuesday, wounding three soldiers.

"The Palestinian drove his car toward the border guards and lightly wounded three of them in the legs," police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said. "An officer on the scene then shot in his direction and killed him," he added.

According to "Israeli" reports, the bulldozer, a white Seat Ibiza, left the Palestinian village of Sur Baher and approached the "Israeli" soldiers stationed at the checkpoint at the entrance to the village. The soldiers tried to get out of the way of the oncoming car, but three of them were injured in the legs nonetheless. The unit commander fired at the car, hitting and critically injuring the driver, Iyyad Azmi Awisat, 20, from Jabel Mukaber. Awisat died of his wounds a short time later.

Additional occupation forces were dispatched to the scene, and the three wounded soldiers were evacuated to the Shaare Tzedek Medical Center in occupied Jerusalem according to the reporters.

Meanwhile, Zuhir Hamdan, the mukhtar of Sur Baher called the killing of Awisat a "cold-blooded murder."
"It's a lie. They treat us like dogs," the mukhtar said while commenting the "Israeli" justifications. The mukhtar clarified that "up until now, I have controlled the village. From today, I no longer will. The response will come in the form of disturbances of the peace."
