Nicolas: Hizbullah is not connected to any of the allegations made by Egypt

Change and Reform bloc MP Nabil Nicolas told NBN television on Thursday that Hizbullah was not connected to any of the allegations made by Egypt and added that the Egyptian regime took a stand against the Free Patriotic Movement, because it signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Hizbullah.

Nicolas said that all foreign ambassadors to Lebanon "are acting normally, except US Ambassador to Lebanon Michele Sisson," adding that US officials feared a change in the governing mechanism in Lebanon.

He regretted that MP Michel al-Murr's political weight would "be represented by himself only" in the forthcoming parliamentary elections and advised him to withdraw his nomination to "regain his moral and political weight."

The Change and Reform MP concluded that there was no reason to leave an empty seat on the Free Patriotic Movement electoral list in the Metn district.
