Geagea: Those calling for dialogue with Syria disregard "martyrs´ sacrifices"

"Those who are calling for dialogue with Syria disregard the martyrs' sacrifices," Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea said on Thursday, adding that taking such a step would "make the Lebanese lose hope of having an independent Lebanon in the short run."

At a meeting with Koura residents, the LF leader called on the March 8 coalition to "oppose in a democratic and civilized manner" if it disagrees with the majority's proposals. He also said the opposition should refrain from allowing a repeat of the Aisha Bakkar clashes, which left one dead and 11 injured on Sunday night.
