Sheikh Qaouk: Parties in "March 14" harmed by internal consensus

Sheikh Nabil Qaouk said in a speech during a meeting he had in Tyre that "Arab efforts exist to assist Lebanon, which has suffered a lot of adventures and externally supported domestic policies" considering that "The success of any Arab effort is subject to the success of consensus in Lebanon," he said, adding that the most powerful of equations in Lebanon is the Lebanese - Lebanese consensus."

He pointed out that "there are sides and forces in 'March 14' negatively affected by the Lebanese consensus path. So, they are desperately trying to drag the opposition into media and political debates to deflect attention away from the reality of the emerging problem among the parties and forces in 'March 14'."

Sheikh Qaouk stressed "The region has become more and more in need of adherence to the resistance strategy, because official Arab regimes have taken to normalizing relations with 'Israel' as their strategic choice, signifying a further tightening of the blockade on the Palestinian cause."

His eminence concluded that "Lebanon is still the more powerful and more immune vis-à-vis "Israel", not due to international decisions and regional equations, but as a result of the success of the resistance strategy in the liberation and defense."
