Ammar: Electricity crisis poses “great danger”
Source: nowlebanon.com, 09-07-2009
Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Ali Ammar warned of "great danger" in Lebanon's future, if the crisis in the electricity sector is not resolved.
During a press conference on Wednesday, Ammar said, "There are about 750,000 people in Dahiyeh who suffer from shortages in power and water supplies, which poses a danger to their work and their everyday lives."
Ammar criticized the cabinet for not tackling the issue, despite their full awareness of the situation. He held outgoing Prime Minister Fouad Siniora and Finance Minister Mohammad Chatah responsible for the crisis.
