MP Fadlallah: "Israeli" threats oblige us to use our right to possess all means of strength

The "Al-Jarha (wounded) Association" in Lebanon held a celebration in honor of the resistance wounded, on the Islamic Resistance Day of the Wounded, and on "Imam Abu Fadl Abbas Day" in Nabatiyeh, under the patronage of the member of Loyalty to the Resistance bloc (LRB) MP Hassan Fadlallah.

MP Fadlallah gave speech in which he said: "Today we are facing 'Israeli' threats and intimidation against Lebanon, this is nothing new, since the 'Israeli' entity sits on our border as a constant threat and danger to Lebanon. Confronting this enemy does not occur by the shedding of tears, by seeking strategies of surrender, submission and abjectness, nor by searching for alternatives already tried by many Arabs and proven a failure."

Regarding the internal situation, he said: "We are at the threshold of government formation and the efforts to form it. We want this government to be formed in accordance with the rules and foundations that will ensure real and effective partnership between the opposition and loyalists. We want this partnership to be translated in a form that guarantees the opposition effective partnership in decisions, so that its presence in the government renders it active and able to participate in the decision making process."

He added saying: "Today I am able to say we have made a significant breach in some of the obstacles that had prevented transition to the second step."

He continued: "We are convinced that no complications at the local level can prevent government formation; in other words, if the matter was left up to the talks, discussions and negotiations between the Lebanese political forces, we would have been able to overcome internal complications. But there are obstacles of a different kind, the kind we might call 'the external level', namely, the immediate American ingress into the formation path to place obstacles and complications that prevent the formation of the government."
