Sheikh Qassem meets Sabbagh: When coherent, America or "Israel" could not impose their agenda of policies

He added: "We are satisfied with the first step accomplished on the path to forming a national unity government under the proposed formula, which includes active participation within the context of what has been agreed upon, hoping the steps concerning the ministerial appointments and distribution of portfolios be completed as soon as possible.

He said: "When coherent, America or "Israel" could not impose their agenda of policies in Lebanon, this is what we must always be. A strong Lebanon is an impervious dam in the face of projects of domination and surrender.

After the meeting, Dr. Samir Sabbagh declared saying "Today we were honored to meet Sheikh Naim Qassem, to discuss with him and with the brothers in Hizbullah the current developments taking place in the country. The points of view were identical in terms of improving the conditions of confrontation that is still taking place in Beirut. 

We discussed ways to develop the opposition's work mechanisms in order to facilitate its full and complete role in Lebanese politics - from the point of securing the appropriate political program, and to try to secure an economic and social program the Lebanese people are in dire need for.
