Raad to Al-Manar: 15-10-5 Ministerial Formula Irreplaceable

The head of the Loyalty to the Resistance parliamentary bloc MP Mohamad Raad said on Monday that the 15-10-5 government formula is irreplaceable, stressing that the mentioned formula matches with the current political state of things.

 Raad emphasized that it would be very difficult to find a formula that would replace the 15-10-5 formula, accusing Christian members of the ruling March 14 coalition of putting obstacles and obstructing the government formation process.

The Hizbullah MP called on Prime Minister-Designate Saad Hariri to accelerate his contacts to achieve the government formation process and safeguard the government's dignity in the future.

The head of the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc said that the suggestion of a technocrat government is not realistic in a country that suffers from a political crisis such as Lebanon.

Raad also rejected a government consisting of "poles," wondering what would be the fate of the national dialogue roundtable in case such government was formed. He said that even in case rival blocs agreed on a government of poles, such government should abide by the reached formula of 15-10-5.

Asked about the effects of the "Jumblattist transformation" on the formula (in reference to the coup launched by the head of the Democratic Gathering MP Walid Jumblatt against his so-called allies), Raad recalled that Jumblatt has anticipated his coup a long time ago. "I don't think the PM-Designate wasn't informed of the coup," Raad said, adding that Hariri should be the most informed person of the reasons that pushed Jumblatt to take his latest stances.
