Sheikh Yazbek: Living together is our destiny as Lebanese
Hizbollah Site Staff, 18-08-2009
Hizbullah Consultative Council Member, His Eminence Sheikh Mohammad Yazbek called for dialogue and understanding in this homeland, on proper and sound basis, a homeland which can only rise on accord, before and after parliamentary elections. He also called for accelerating government formation and wondered about the reasons in the delays of its formation and to whose benefit are these delays?
In a celebration under his patronage whereby winners of the 'Faithful Pledge Martyr' contest received their prizes in Hermel area, His Eminence said "No one can discount the others, our destiny as Lebanese is to live together within a culture of co-existence as put forward in the seventies by Sayyed Moussa al-Sadr" adding that "Today the resistance wants to protect culture and mutual respect against an enemy wishing disunity amongst us."
Sheikh Yazbek said "Deliverance rests in the nation's unification, the ability to discern friend from foe and through realizing our responsibility", he added saying "The value of the victory in July and August is that it directed our path, showed us the weaknesses of the enemy and the Umma, and revealed to us that deliverance lies in returning to culture and authenticity."
