Member of Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Dr. Hassan Fadlallah said "The escalation of political rhetoric is detrimental to the formation of government, and complicates matters. What is now required, given there is genuine concern for the success of government formation, is to withdraw the formation formula from political disputes and gravitations."
MP Fadlallah added: "As far as we are concerned, we have undertaken what our national duty dictates, we have had a pivotal positive role in reaching a formula of partnership that produces a Government of accord. What remains at the portfolios distribution level is the subject of negotiation between the Prime Minister-designate and each of the parties in the two camps, opposition and loyalists."
Negotiations were supposed to have occurred in the same spirit of dialogue and discussion away from disputes, not by responding to bids and offers through the media by escalation of rhetoric, a hint of the aims of delay and obstruction by certain sides through their resorting to negotiation through the media, which is primarily a detriment to the government before it is even born, furthermore, how will this form a unified working group, capable of standing in solidarity to face the burdens and challenges.
