MP Raad: Government formation occurs through direct meetings not by correspondence

Head of the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Mohammad Raad said the formation of the government cannot take place through correspondence or delegations but by direct consultations and dialogue.

Raad said in an interview on "OTV" television: "We do not see Aoun or others have any obstacles. What we see is the necessity to point administration in a direction that will lead to a natural birth of a national unity government."

He added: "Here and there on the sidelines of the efforts exerted by the Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri appear scattered voices but do not manage to alter the atmosphere."

Raad pointed out that "The ceiling level previously put by General Aoun was higher than 15-10-5 (Distribution of Cabinet Ministers), but he nevertheless accepted it, what remains now is for the PM-designate to communicate with him. But for the PM-designate to start aiming at General Aoun with a wide scale media campaign instead and then invite Aoun to a luncheon indicates obstacles are being placed in the way of understanding."
